Happy B’lated Birthdayzz to me!!

Living through 24 years of hardship and happiness, I am now at the quarter of my life… still learning about life.

Lately I’ve been eating LOADS.

Friends are all sweet enough to bring me out and have a fun birthday dinner where they will all stuff me silly with appetizers, main dishes, nice drinks and CAKES!

Just last Sunday (26th October… the day before my birthday), my high school musical friends brought me to a lovely cafe called Delicious Cafe at One Utama (new wing). The whole place looks sooooooo lovely, quiet (not because there are no customers) and decent! They use soft brown lighting to create a relaxing ambience and to top it up, Jazz music! MMmmmmmm…. just the way I like it!

The menu, sad to say, has NO PICTURES. I need a menu with pictures so I can decide what sort of food I want to order.

The prices are pretty reasonable! I don’t have a good camera yet so please bear with the blurry pictures. Nevertheless, the price range for a lovely main dish would range from RM25 – RM50 depending on which you would like to devour yourself into!

The dinner crowd is pretty good! What I like about this restaurant is that the tables from one to another is acceptably distant apart. I NEVER like my tables too close to another table. I NEED SPACE! :p

These are some of my high school friends! If you notice another guy behind wearing black and his back is facing the camera, that is also another high school friend of mine! Just so happen we went to the same restaurant and seated next to each other.

Obviously we would always order a cup of cold drink first so that we do not finish out lovely main drinks before we finish the meal (happens to me ALOT).

Iced Mocha! Looks SUPER inviting. Just stir like mad until the colour gets all nice and brown and drink it! Yummy~!

I ordered the Death by Ice Chocolate. I actually mentioned to my friends that if I do not die after drinking this, I should sue Delicious cafe! Muahahhaa!!!

Anyway this Ice Chocolate is really nice! It’s been long since I had my last ice choco but this really brings back good memories!

Ice Chocolate = RM10.90

Rasberry Cooler. I didn’t get to try this out but I heard from my friend that it is not really that good. Tasted exactly like water with soda.

Raspberry Cooler = RM9.90

Guava, Sour Plum is pretty okay. I also didn’t get to try this out but my friend seems to enjoy it!

Guava Sour Plum = RM9.90

The main dishes arrived! Pei Yong ordered a REALLY NICE dish, Cheese Burger. The name is longer but I sort of forgot. Something like Super Delicious Cheese Burger or along that way. Hey even the presentation is good! I’m very particular in food presentation  )

Cheese Burger = RM24.90

This is the Four Cheese Macaroni. OH WOW!! SOOOOO GOOD! I’m a cheese person and when I took a bite from this dish (ordered by Marcus), I just LOVE IT instantly! Don’t be fooled by the small sized dish… the amount of four different cheese melted in one bowl with macaroni can REALLY stuff you silly!

Four Cheese Macaroni = RM19.90

Ther Chien grabbed the Spicy Crab Linguini. Very interesting taste. Rather mild yet you can taste the spice. I would say it is pretty okay. This is for those who would prefer a light taste in their spaghetti!

Spicy Crab Linguini = RM24.90

Aaaah… for all mushroom lovers. This is for YOU! This dish is called Mushroom Mascarpone. It consist of numerous different types of muschooms like button musrooms, oyster mushrooms and etc cooked together with lovely sauce and poured all over the spaghetti. Just toss and turn with the herbs and this dish will be ready for you to devour! Very mushroomy and very nice!

Mushroom Mascarpone = RM20.90

Okay I am REALLY particular about how the duck is cooked. I NEVER like it when it is too salty (like most chinese would do it) and the meat is tough. It has to have the distinctive duck taste and smooth meat for me to enjoy a good duck! *Quack*

I decided to order the Duck Cassoulet since many recommended this dish. It is roasted duck meat with a hint of herbs. The bottom part is actually beans and sausages with strong tomato paste as well as herbs too. Taste? LOVELY! I love the duck meat! So soft and tender! Not even a single taste of saltiness on and in the meat. Worth the try and worth ordering for those who likes to eat duck! *Quack*

Duck Cassoulet = RM39.90

For salmon lovers, you will DEFINITELY enjoy this dish. The meat is tender but the skin is CRISPY! Topped with a lovely sauce, some asparagus and lots of lovely baked/fried potatoes, this dish is good enough for small eaters who enjoys a good salmon.

Crispy Salmon = RM39.90

Oops! That shouldn’t be part of the blogging time. I was just admiring my new nail colour I bought from Ianti. :p

The birthday slice cake came! I really wanted the Carrot Cake because it looks just so inviting and to top it up, the mini carrot (made of icing suger) on the cake is soooooooo cute! Yes, it is really very nice! Thick and tasty, just the way I like it! I highly recommend everyone to at least try it once and you’ll know it is worth ordering.

Carrot Cake = RM9.90

This dish would be either a good cake to some, and a bad cake to some. This is Mango Cheese Cake. An obvious combination of mango and cheese actually brings out a sour taste in this cake that one can hardly tell if there is mango taste or cheese. It is rather interesting to try it. Very subjective because people like my mother (we couldn’t finish all so I brought back for her) and Pei Yong actually enjoyed it while the rest of us were like, “Ermmm…. hmm… alright I guess”.

Mango Cheese Cake = RM11.90

We WANTED to try something CHOCOLATEY but hanging out with Pei Yong everytime, we are not ALLOWED to have chocolates because she DOESN’T take chocolates and so we have to FILTER out chocolates.

Pei Yong… YOU OWE US A GOOD CHOCOLATE DESSERT!
